How EduPlux uses cookies and similar tech.
Last updated: April 1, 2026
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to remember information about your visit. We use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage and pixels) for a few specific purposes — explained below in plain English.
1. Categories of Cookies We Use
We group cookies into four categories. You can disable any non-essential category at any time using the cookie banner or from Settings → Privacy inside your dashboard.
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration | Can Disable? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Required for the site to function — sign-in, security, load balancing. | session_id, csrftoken, eduplux_auth | Session – 30 days | Required |
| Preferences | Remember choices you make, like language, theme and dashboard layout. | lang, theme, last_tenant | Up to 1 year | Yes |
| Analytics | Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Aggregated, never used to identify you personally. | _ga, _ga_*, ph_session, mp_* | Up to 2 years | Yes |
| Marketing | Used on our marketing pages (eduplux.in) to measure campaign effectiveness. Never set inside the product itself. | _fbp, lidc, li_sugr | Up to 90 days | Yes |
2. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by services we embed on our site. We use:
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregated traffic analytics on eduplux.in.
- PostHog — product analytics inside the dashboard (self-hosted in our AWS account, not Google's).
- LinkedIn & Meta Pixels — only on our marketing pages, to measure ad campaign performance.
- Razorpay & Stripe — on checkout pages for fraud detection.
3. Managing Cookies
You have several options:
- Use the cookie banner shown on your first visit to set preferences for the whole site.
- Inside the EduPlux dashboard, go to Settings → Privacy → Cookies to change your choices later.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be blocked without breaking sign-in.
- Send Do-Not-Track signals from your browser — we honour them for analytics and marketing categories.
4. Mobile Apps
Our Parent, Student, Teacher and Driver apps don't use browser cookies. Instead, they store a session token in secure device storage (Keychain on iOS, EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android) and use Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens for push notifications. You can revoke these by signing out or uninstalling the app.
5. Updates
When we add or remove cookies, we'll update this page and bump the “Last updated” date. Material changes will trigger a refreshed cookie banner asking you to renew your preferences.
